Hi, I’m Dr. Mike Hattabaugh. I am the author of  . I am the creator of the Video Blog “How to be an AMAZING Guy!” I am the founder of HeroMarriage.com and Prorelationships.com. I am an Associate Professor of Communication Studies at San Juan College and an adjunct professor at the University of New Mexico.  I teach seminars on relationships, communication, and public speaking.

My Content

My purpose is to make committed people better at relationships at home, at work and in life. I have decided the BEST place to reach the people I love to engage is online.

Because of passion for relationships, I write on communication, marriage, romance, gratitude, and success. Sometimes I write about other things, but it will usually have something to do with people!

I use a variety of formats to share my message.  I typically post a weekly blog, a weekly Video Blog, a weekly radio interview on communication (through KSJE in Farmington, NM.), and post a lot of short tips and thoughts through facebook, Instagram and twitter.

My Biography

Currently, I am an Associate Professor of Communication Studies at San Juan College in Farmington, New Mexico.  I have been awarded the BHP/Billiton Distinguished Teaching Chair, the Golden Sun Award, Tarpley Teaching Award, and numerous awards for leadership, teaching and writing.

I have also been an adjunct professor of Communication Studies and Honor University at the University of New Mexico.  I taught many upper-level communication courses including political communication, persuasive communication, relationships, mediation, and conflict resolution.

I was the executive director of National Day of Care (Now Houses with Hope) for 4 years.   I was best known for spending a total of 32 days living on the roof of 2 locations in Farmington and Albuquerque, reaching millions of people through radio and television and raising funds for Orphans in Africa.

I was the founding pastor of The Gathering Community Church from 1998-2008, a church that served the unchurched community and

I have a B.A. in Communication from Henderson State University, an M. Div. from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, and a D. Min. from Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary where I focused on Communication.

I have delivered speeches and seminars in over 20 states and on 4 continents and look forward to sharing my insights on relationships and communication!
